The Solenne
A cocktail kada in Mozambique rubies and natural diamonds
The kada has long belonged to the wrist in Indian jewellery. It is a form worn for celebration and passed between generations, recognised at a glance. With The Solenne, Diviano renders that form in rubies and diamonds as a cocktail jewel, made for the evenings that call for colour.

A Kada in Red
The Solenne is set with natural Mozambique rubies, selected for clarity and for the way light passes through them. Their red is deep and even, and it stays vivid from a distance and at close range.
Ovals run along the centre of the kada, each paired with its counterpart across a single axis. Pear-shaped rubies sit above and below them, so the colour moves across the piece in a measured rhythm. Every ruby was matched to its neighbour in tone and cut before it was set, which keeps the red consistent from one end of the kada to the other.
The Diamonds
Natural diamonds of EF colour and VVS to VS clarity surround the rubies, and each cut has its own role.
Emerald-cut diamonds sit at fixed intervals along the centre line, framed and set apart, giving the design its points of order. Pear and marquise diamonds open outward between them and carry movement across the surface. Small round diamonds trace the borders and finish every edge in fine, continuous light.
Seen together, the cuts read as one design rather than four separate elements. The emerald cuts give it structure, the pears and marquises give it movement, and the rounds give it brilliance.

Construction
The Solenne is made in eighteen karat white gold. The metal stays cool and bright beside the rubies and lets the diamonds read at full whiteness.
Beneath the stones, the gallery is finished in open gold that follows the outline of each setting, so light reaches every stone from behind as well as from above. The reverse is made to the same standard as the front, though it is seen only by the person who wears it.

For the Evening
The Solenne is made as a cocktail jewel, for the dinner, the celebration and the evening where colour is expected. Its width and its red give it a presence of its own at the wrist.
It can be worn alongside a ruby necklace, where the two carry the same colour from neck to hand. It needs no companion, though, and is equally complete worn on its own.
